  My beloved pet is a dog. His name is Rio. My Rio is very friendly, cute, and playful. Rio has beautiful eyes. He is 5 years old. His colour is brown. Rio loves to play with me every time. My pet is very active. Even though he loves to play, he never hestitates to protect us. He does not allow any unknown person to enter our house. His favourite food is meat. My pet has won the hearts of everyone in our family. My mother and father love him very much. He always stays close to them. We take good care of him. He is very healthy and strong. My pet is not just an animal, he is a member of our family.

 Mr Martin Wikcramasinghe can be considered one of the most talented writers born in Sri Lanka. He was born on 29th May, 1890 in Koggala, Sri Lanka. His first profession was that of a newspaper editor. Later he became a full-time writer. He is highly respected for his contribution to Sinhala literature and culture. He wrote many famous novels and short stories. They reflect Sri Lankan village life and culture. His first novel is "Leela" and it was published in 1914. The following are the books written by him, Soma 📕 Gamperaliya  📕 Yuganthaya  📕 Viragaya  📕 Kali Yugaya  📕 Madol Duwa  📕  He is considered the greatest writer ever born in Sri Lanka. Many great novels and short stories were created through his literary knowledge. His philosophy was so powerful that it attracted readers' hearts. His contribution to literature is immeasurable.

 Sigiriya ia one of the famous historical places in Sri Lanka. It is located om the Matale District in the Central part of Sri Lanka. King Kashyapa is considered the builder of Sigiriya. Sigiriya is considered a forttress, and its height is about 180 meters. Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  This place is a very beautiful site that attracts many tourists. The garden here is very well designed, and the technology used in it is even more advanced than modern technology. The water fountains there can be seen warking well, especially during the rainy season. The frescoes painted at sigiriya captivate everyone's attention. The Sigiriya graffiti reflect the artistic and aesthetic skills of the people of ancient times. Sigiriya is a structure that shows the pride of Sri Lanka.

My favourite actor is Suriya Sivakumar. His real name is Saravanan Sivakumar. He is the son of the famous actor Suvakumar. He is a famous and talented Tamil actor in India. He is a very handsome person. He is well known for his talent, hard work, and unique acting style. He is not only a talented actor but also a talented film director.      He was born on 23rd  July, 1975. He is from Madras , India. He has one brother, and his name is Karthi. He is also a famous Tamil actor. Suriya's wife is the famous Tamil actress Jyothika. They have two children.  Suriya has acted in many successful movies. He can perform different types of roles, including  action, emotional and romantic roles. Suriya's first film was "Nerukku Ner". His acting very natural and impressive. He has a lot of fans. He is a kind and humble person. He has established an organization using his own money to support the education of orphaned children. He is a hero not only in movies but also in ...

  The sea is a place that everyone, both young and old, likes to visit. The sea is one of the best places to relieve stress. The sea is very beautiful in the evening. The reason is that the sunset can be seen at that time. As the sun begins to set, the sky turns into shades of red, orange, purple and pink. The the sun looks like a red ball.      People come to the beach to relieve stress after a busy day. In the evening, the sea looks like a very beautiful story. The cool breeze in the evening takes us to another world. Some people walk along the the shore while enjoying the cool sea breeze. Little children play in the sand, build sandcastles, and collect seashells.     Watching the sunset at the beach is a wonderful experience. The sound of the waves creates a peaceful atmosphere.It reminds us of the beauty of nature and gives us peace of mind. The evening at the beach is one of the most beautiful moments in nature.

 The day Sri Lanka gained independence from the British is consodered our National Independence Day. Our country gained independence from them on February 4, 1948. The Portuguese, Dutch, and British were three foreign nations that invaded Sri Lanka from time to time. During this times, our people of Sri Lanka didn't have full freedom. However, the Sri Lankans worked very hard to gain independence for their country. Veera Puran Appu, Gongalegoda Banda, and Wariyapola Sri Sumangala Thero are national heroes who led the struggle. They sacrificed their lives for that purpose.       At present, this Independence Day is celebrated in a grand manner. The president of the country and other leaders participate in this event. The Sri Lankan flag is hoisted, and everyone pays respect to it. The tri-forces display salute parades and various skills. The cultural items presented here make the ceremony even more colourful. This is a very important ceremony for us Sri Lankans.
