Nighttime is my favourite time pf the day. When the day ends, the night feels like a kind of medicine for everyone. The night like a wonderful story. When I look at it, my mind becomes calm and light. When the sky id full of shining stars, it becomes even more beautiful. The harmony between the moon and the stars is truly amazing. We can see different patterns of stars in the night sky. Among them, the Orion constellation can often be seen. On some days, we can also see different planets shining in the sky, and I enjoy watching it very much.The night sky is a wonderful theme for poets.There are many pictures painted in the night sky. I have loved stars since I was a child. The cool breeze at night and the starry sky make me feel as if they are whispering a beautiful poem. A star filled night sky is one of the most beautiful sights I love to see.

  My beloved pet is a dog. His name is Rio. My Rio is very friendly, cute, and playful. Rio has beautiful eyes. He is 5 years old. His colour is brown. Rio loves to play with me every time. My pet is very active. Even though he loves to play, he never hestitates to protect us. He does not allow any unknown person to enter our house. His favourite food is meat. My pet has won the hearts of everyone in our family. My mother and father love him very much. He always stays close to them. We take good care of him. He is very healthy and strong. My pet is not just an animal, he is a member of our family.

 Mr Martin Wikcramasinghe can be considered one of the most talented writers born in Sri Lanka. He was born on 29th May, 1890 in Koggala, Sri Lanka. His first profession was that of a newspaper editor. Later he became a full-time writer. He is highly respected for his contribution to Sinhala literature and culture. He wrote many famous novels and short stories. They reflect Sri Lankan village life and culture. His first novel is "Leela" and it was published in 1914. The following are the books written by him, Soma 📕 Gamperaliya  📕 Yuganthaya  📕 Viragaya  📕 Kali Yugaya  📕 Madol Duwa  📕  He is considered the greatest writer ever born in Sri Lanka. Many great novels and short stories were created through his literary knowledge. His philosophy was so powerful that it attracted readers' hearts. His contribution to literature is immeasurable.

 Sigiriya ia one of the famous historical places in Sri Lanka. It is located om the Matale District in the Central part of Sri Lanka. King Kashyapa is considered the builder of Sigiriya. Sigiriya is considered a forttress, and its height is about 180 meters. Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  This place is a very beautiful site that attracts many tourists. The garden here is very well designed, and the technology used in it is even more advanced than modern technology. The water fountains there can be seen warking well, especially during the rainy season. The frescoes painted at sigiriya captivate everyone's attention. The Sigiriya graffiti reflect the artistic and aesthetic skills of the people of ancient times. Sigiriya is a structure that shows the pride of Sri Lanka.

My favourite actor is Suriya Sivakumar. His real name is Saravanan Sivakumar. He is the son of the famous actor Suvakumar. He is a famous and talented Tamil actor in India. He is a very handsome person. He is well known for his talent, hard work, and unique acting style. He is not only a talented actor but also a talented film director.      He was born on 23rd  July, 1975. He is from Madras , India. He has one brother, and his name is Karthi. He is also a famous Tamil actor. Suriya's wife is the famous Tamil actress Jyothika. They have two children.  Suriya has acted in many successful movies. He can perform different types of roles, including  action, emotional and romantic roles. Suriya's first film was "Nerukku Ner". His acting very natural and impressive. He has a lot of fans.   The sea is a place that everyone, both young and old, likes to visit. The sea is one of the best places to relieve stress. The sea is very beautiful in the evening. The reason is that the sunset can be seen at that time. As the sun begins to set, the sky turns into shades of red, orange, purple and pink. The the sun looks like a red ball.      People come to the beach to relieve stress after a busy day. In the evening, the sea looks like a very beautiful story. The cool breeze in the evening takes us to another world. Some people walk along the the shore while enjoying the cool sea breeze. Little children play in the sand, build sandcastles, and collect seashells.     Watching the sunset at the beach is a wonderful experience. The sound of the waves creates a peaceful atmosphere.It reminds us of the beauty of nature and gives us peace of mind. The evening at the beach is one of the most beautiful moments in nature.

 The day Sri Lanka gained independence from the British is consodered our National Independence Day. Our country gained independence from them on February 4, 1948. The Portuguese, Dutch, and British were three foreign nations that invaded Sri Lanka from time to time. During this times, our people of Sri Lanka didn't have full freedom. However, the Sri Lankans worked very hard to gain independence for their country. Veera Puran Appu, Gongalegoda Banda, and Wariyapola Sri Sumangala Thero are national heroes who led the struggle. They sacrificed their lives for that purpose.       At present, this Independence Day is celebrated in a grand manner. The president of the country and other leaders participate in this event. The Sri Lankan flag is hoisted, and everyone pays respect to it. The tri-forces display salute parades and various skills. The cultural items presented here make the ceremony even more colourful. This is a very important ceremony for us Sri Lankans.

A human being needs three main things to survive. They are food, water and air. Without these three things, it is difficult for humans to survive. This applies not only to humans but also to animal, trees, and plants. Water is the most important natural resource on Earth. About 71% of the Earth's surface is covered with water. Out of that, only about 0.1% is available for human consumption. There are several sources from which humans obtain water. The main sources are rain, tanks, streams, and rivers. Water has many uses, For drinking For sanitation For agricultural For electricity generation  When using water, humans often waste it. The human body needs water to stay healthy and function properly. Animals also depend on water for survial. Farmers use water to grow crops and produce food. However, water is used in many daily activities such as cleaning, cooking, washing and bathing. We should use water carefully.      My favourite city is Kandy. It is located in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It is a  beautiful city with a high elevation.  Kandy is a truly a beautiful paradise. Kandy is surrounded by green mountains and has a cool and pleasant climate. That climate makes us feel relax and comfortable. There are many beautiful places to visit in Kandy, such as Kandy lake, the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Peradeniya Botanical Garden, Udawattekele Sancturay, Ceylon Tea  Museum, National Museum of Kandy, Kandy View Point, Lankathilaka Vihara Temple and Wales Park.        One of the most famous place in Kandy is the Temple of the Tooth Relic.   My favourite singer is the one and only Danith Sri. He is very talented and very handsome. He is a popular, talented and educated young singer in Sri Lanka. He was born on 20th December 1994. Young fans love his songs very much. He has a soft, unique and sweet voice. I really like his voice very much.     In my free time, I enjoy listening to his music because it makes me feel calm and relaxed. His songs are very emotional and heart touching. He is also a creative artist who brings new ideas to the music world. His melodies are like meditation, bringing peace and calmness to the mind. My favourite songs by  him are listed below.  Sri Lanka is a multicultural country. There are many festivals associated with its culture. Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslim communities celebrate their cultural festivals in a very grand and festive manner. Among them, Sinhala and Tamil people jointly celebrate a festival known as the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.       This festival falls in April every year. This festival is celebrated based on the movement of the sun. The retuals of this festival are performed according to nakath times. It has been passed down since ancient times.     When this festival approaches, houses are cleaned and decorated. Moreover, traditional new year sweets are also prepared. Children and adults come together and play traditional folk games. During this season, many traditional folk games and new year festivals are held.With new clothes, delicious food and drinks, and traditional folk games, this festival is celebrated without any ethnic or religious deffer

 There are many dancers who have countributed to the development of the art of dance.dan Among those dancers, S. Panibharatha holds a prominent position. Panibharatha was a great dancer, chreographer, and teacher.           He was born on 24th February, 1920. His original name was Panis. From a young age, he showed a deep interest in dancing and music. He began to learn ubout dance from his uncle. His uncle was a talanted dancer and his name was Algama Kiriganithaya.      He was highly skilled in all three major Sri Lankan dance traditions. ( Kandyan, Low country, Sabaragamu ). Not only he was skilled in indigenous dance but also talented in Indian dance. He received a scholarship and got tha opportunity to go to Shanthinikethana in India to study.  Everyone has their own hobby. It can vary from person to person. However , travelling is a popular hobby among many people. My favourite hobby also travelling. I have visited many places in Sri Lanka. Travelling is a great experience because it helps us learn new things about different places, cultures, and people. In Sri Lanka we can see many beautiful places like mountains, forests, beaches, temples, rivers, and ancient cities. Some people travel by bike, train,  bus, boats and airplane. It depends on their budget and their comfort. However, each type of travel gives a different experiences.   I live in a  beautiful village. My village's name is Singakkuliya. The evvironment is calm and peaceful. It is surrounded by green paddy fields and natural scenery. There is a lake in my village, and it is called "Dewala Wewa". Our village is very special because an ancient Aiyanayaka Devala is located there. There are many animals in my village such as cows, peococks, dogs, cats, and snakes. Most of the people in our village are farmers. The paddy fields are really beautiful in the morning. They makes our day feel  fresh. The people in my village are very kind, friendly and helpful. They always support each other in times of need. We live in a small village, but our hearts are always peaceful. There are a lot of educated people in our village. Some of them are living abroad. However,  our village has god's blessings. I love my village very much.

 The sport I like most is badminton. It was the sport that I played in my school. This sport is a good exercise for both the body and the mind. It is a very enjoyable. Badminton is played with a racket and a shuttlecock. We can play badminton as singles and doubles. I enjoy playing with my friends. This sport improves my physical fitness and it also teaches me how to accept winning or losing.This sport teaches me discipline, teamwork and leadership. When I feel stressed, playing badminton makes me feel comfortable. I like to watch badminton tournaments. I like to spend my free time playing badminton. This is the best sport I have ever watched.

  My name is B.Nipuni Nisansala Perera. I am 22 years old. I am from Singakkuliya. My fathernis B.Sarath Gamini Perera and my mother is J.P. Suwarnalatha. I have one sister and her name is B. Nishani Madhushika. My school is Wennappuwa Holy Family Balika Maha Vidyalaya. I have been selected to the University of the Visual and Performing Arts which is my dream university. My future ambition is become a talented dancing teacher. My favourite activity is dancing and it makes me cheerful. It gives me a  lot of strength.I love dancing very much.I started learning dance at a young age. My favourite tradition is the  kandyan dance tradition.   I am a funny person who likes to always feel happy. I like to spend time with my family and my friends. They are always with me in every situation. I believe in myself,  and I always do my best.

Among the places I have visited, Trincomalee is a very beautiful paradise. I went that trip with my friends. Trincomalee is a little hot area. It is a district located in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. A beautiful beach can be seen in trincomalee. Both local and foreign tourists visit it to see them. These are the beautiful places found in Trincomalee. Nilaveli beach Pigeon Island Koneshwaram Temple Fort Frederick Marble Beach Hot water springs These places are really very attractive. They clearly show the beauty of nature. Nilaveli beach is a treasure to Sri Lanka. Pigeon Island is  located a short distance away from the main land. If you want to visit Pigein Island, you have to go there by boat. Going by boat is really a new experience for me.  In addition , Natural hot springs can be seen in this area.
